Oklahoma ranks third in the nation for single - victim,
single - offender homicide.
FCC is motivated to bring the issue of domestic
violence in our state to light, to let victims and survivors
know that there is help available and support
them on their journey to healing.
Domestic Violence is a pattern of power and control by one partner over another.
Domestic violence is more than physical abuse; it includes emotional abuse, sexual abuse, mental abuse, verbal abuse, financial abuse and psychological abuse.
Domestic violence can affect any person of any race, religion, ethnicity, gender, orientation, and status.
Domestic violence can affect a person's self-esteem and confidence.
Domestic violence also includes strangulation (often referred to as chocking).
